Mr Lateef Akande Bakare- Chairman

 Lateef Bakare (LAB) is the Chairman, Board of Directors, Afromedia Plc. He joined the Board in July 22, 2019. His professional working experience started 42 years ago. He has worked in all the geo political Zones of Nigeria. His education, experience and exposure afforded him the opportunity to join others from various fields of human endeavor in the task of complementing current government efforts in developing Nigeria. He has been engaged in all aspects of financial restructuring and consulted for many financial institutions and turning around many companies in the process.

He is committed to engaging in carrying out activities that will enhance the standard of living of our people through economic activities that will enhance the standard of living of Nigeria people.

He was generally regarded as the most successful Accountancy student of Yaba College of Technology in1975/76 by passing the 5-part ACCA professional examinations within 2 years. He is an alumnus of Yaba College of Technology and Brookes University, United Kingdom. He is a member of Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK and a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), member Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria

Otunba Akin Ire Olopade - Group Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Olopade joined the services of Afromedia Plc in 1992 as a Product Development Manager and was elevated to the position of General Manager one year after assumption of duties based on his outstanding performance in product development.

His wealth of experience over the years has taken Afromedia from a private limited liability company with a share capital of 10 million Naira to a publicly quoted company with share capital in excess of 2 billion Naira.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors of Nigeria (F.IoD), Vice President of Outdoor Advertising Agency Nigeria (OAAN), and member of other professional bodies such as, Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), Screen printing and Graphic Imaging Association International (SGIA), and Digital Printing & Imaging Association etc. He is has attended several executive management development programmes, including those of London Business School.

Engr. Patrick O. Nwabunie - Group Chief Operating Officer

Engr. Nwabunie joined the services of Afromedia Plc in 1989 as purchasing Manager and in 1991 he was elevated to the position of General Manager (Resources). Following his excellent managerial performance he was appointed an Executive Director in 1995 and later to the position of Deputy Managing Director of the company in 1999 where he served for 11 years until his retirement as an executive director on 1st July 2011 to pursue other interest. Despite his retirement, Engr. Nwabunie, still remains on the board as a non-executive director of the company and recently took up the role as Vice Chairman of the Board on the 27th of February 2014.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors of Nigeria (F.IoD), and member of Advertising practitioners council of Nigeria (APCON). He is an Alumnus of London Business School.

Mr Kabir Usman - Independent Non-Executive Director

Kabir Usman joined the Board of Afromedia Plc. in July 22, 2019. He is a senior International Executive with over 25 years cognate experience in banking and management consulting. He has an in-depth knowledge and skills in diverse areas spanning Infrastructure and Project Finance, Treasury and Investment Banking, Banking Operations, Internal Audits etc.

He started his banking career with GTB in 1991 rose to the position of Senior Manager Commercial Banking Group, he moved to Diamond Bank in 2006 and he was Assistant General Manager and Head of World Corporate Banking until 2009 before joining Emeritus Capital Limited and Financial Advisory Outfit and the Managing Director /CEO

He has his first and second degrees from University of Maiduguri, Maiduguri and Bayero University, Kano respectively and in 2005 he obtained is Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the prestigious Manchester Metropolitan University, United Kingdom.
